Guidelines and Expectations Contract

By signing this document, you are stating that you have read the class guidelines and expectations, that all questions regarding them have been answered and that you agree to all of the terms therein.  You are also acknowledging the following clarifications and consequences.

Respect:
All students will respect the works, people and opinions that appear within this classroom.  The class and its time will be respected by students being on time, shutdown of electronics and abstaining from outbursts that disrupt the education within.

Disregard for these things can result in discussion, detention, parent contact and/or administrative involvement.

Responsibility:
All students are responsible for their success in this course and classroom in that they must choose to consistently attend class prepared and on time, acquire and keep up with assignments, follow directions (both written and oral), submit/make up work as required within guidelines and ask for help/clarification when it is needed from team and/or teacher.  While mistakes may happen, students will take ownership for them and address them appropriately.

Ignoring this aspect will result in lower grades and may result in a failure of the course.

Integrity:
All work submitted by students will be ORIGINAL (the author’s own work) unless instructed to research and cite accordingly; including homework, quizzes/tests and assignments.  The work submitted will be done with attention to instructions, details and editing in order to ensure meeting high academic standards as agreed upon and clarified by students and teacher.

Not taking pride in work submitted will result in lower, and possibly failing, grades as assignments require attention to instruction and execution.

Work that is not original will result in two zeroes for the assignment at minimum and failure of the quarter as detailed within school policy (zero for marking period) at maximum. Both of these consequences may cause failure for the marking period or the year.
